Best Little Rabbit, Rodent and Ferret House is a non-profit 501(c)(3) no-kill animal shelter (tax ID 91-1873550) supported by money from sales and services offered at our shelter, and by public donations.

All of our animals are rescued, primarily from city and county shelters and humane societies.

Auction a Success!

Our auction was once again a super success. We raised $7,200, which was slightly more than last year. With the economy in a slump we were very pleased with the results. Thank you one and all!! Click here to see photos from the auction. Sorry we didn't get names/captions for the photos ... but you and your friends know who you are!

You can still get T-shirts, mugs, and other items with this year's beautiful logo design at www.cafepress.com/blrrfh. Profits benefit the animals! See clips from our bunny photo shoot at the sanctuary here.

We have great news to share about our move and remodel of Rabbit Meadows. Read all about it on our moving page.

Update on Joey, March Bunny of the Month

Last week we featured Joey, the little bunny found abandoned with so many problems - filthy, grossly underweight, dragging a testicular tumor, urine scald, ear mites, and an upper respiratory infection. He has made great progress after treatment - grooming himself, hopping like a rabbit, running to the front of his cage for treats, his dull eyes now bright and sparkling.

Unfortunately we recently discoverd that Joey has an infection in his jaw. The best treatment for this is an expensive surgery but for right now we are trying to control it with antibiotic injections. It appears unlikely that Joey will ever get adopted with his advanced age and numerous medical problems, but if you could find it in your heart to donate (even a little - every bit counts and it adds up!) to Joey's medical care, who knows, with the great progress he's making on all other fronts, he just might find that home he's been dreaming of!

BUNNIES OF THE MONTH

Are We Cute or What?

These 8-12 week old lionhead mix babies were left at the Seattle Animal Shelter. Public animal shelters are forced to accept any animal the public doesn't want, which means that they often get too full. We accept our animals from these shelters, helping as often as we can to save the lives of adorable and deserving creatures like this.

These cuties are available for adoption to the right home.

The welfare of all rabbits, rodents and ferrets is our primary consideration. We believe that all are equally valuable regardless of breed purity, temperament, state of health, or relationship to humans.

It is in the best interest of rabbits, rodents and ferrets to be neutered/spayed, to live in human housing where supervision and protection are provided, and to be treated for illnesses by veterinarians.

Rabbits, rodents, and ferrets are intelligent and social animals who require mental stimulation, toys, exercise, and social interaction from humans and other animals.

THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING US!
ALL donations given to BLRRFH go to helping our rabbits, rodents, ferrets and guinea pigs.
